Dangers of Fad Dieting

It is said that millions of people are on a diet as we speak. The bad news is that most of them are following the latest fads in dieting, so there are many dangers of fad dieting. Eat less, eat healthier, and keep physically active is the best way to lose the weight and keep it off.
The below given some of the dangers occur during short term, long term and suffering with heart disease, and diabetes.
• Calorie is so restricted usually on a lot of short term fad dieting. A few of them if you are doing a fast or just a liquid diet, your gut does not have a chance to do that it heeds to do, so it could stop working properly. You may suffer with constipation; you will suffer with pain when you do start eating again the fad diet. Also all other kinds of gastric problems can happen, due to this you may be suffering with bad breath. If any other people stand beside you, they also feel somewhat due to bad breath. If you restrict taking of calories your body goes into something called ketosis and produces acidic bodies that give you bad breath.
• The long term dangers of fad dieting, again, if you are yo-yo dieting, which we do see a lot of people doing, it is very difficult on your heart to be going up and down all the time with this kind of weight. And also it is tough on your metabolism as well. Your metabolism begins to slow down, you start to gain more fat, and again, that is not good for your heart either. So there is an opportunity that you could increase your chance for heart disease.
• If you are suffering with heart problems, particularly if you have heart disease, should be following a nutritionally balanced diet, exercising. By following a fad dieting, depending on what the fad is all about, if it is a fast, and if it is some kind of cleansing or detox, it would be putting at risk by not getting the essential nutrients. After prolonged time that could play some havoc on your heart.
• Fad dieting can be very dangerous for you with diabetes. If you are diabetic patient keep your blood sugar levels under control and with a fad dieting if they are restricting calories your blood sugar can plummet. They can cause to deficiency of blood sugar and it will lead to coma. Once you start eating again, your blood sugar spikes and it is very important for the diabetic to keep those blood sugar levels balanced. Not so easy on a fad dieting to do that.
